Born in Hannover, Germany, Rinil Routh and her family moved to New York City in her early years.
Rinil attended S.U.N.Y. Binghamton and received her B.S. in Psychobiology.
Later she attended New York Law School and Oxford University (Magdalen College) and received her law degree (J.D. with Honors). Recognizing her natural talents in the arts, her parents encouraged her to take music and dance lessons.
Rinil
has trained in Hindustani classical vocal music, Kathak (Indian
Classical dance), Hip Hop, Contemporary and Street Jazz dance.
She trained in acting from the Herbert Berghoff Studio in New York and Anupam Kher’s acting school (Actor Prepares) in Mumbai.
Rinil has also taken Hindi diction lessons from Ms. Veena Mehta (National School of Drama Professor) in Mumbai.
After acting in a South Indian (Telugu) film, Rinil got her major break with the mainstream Bollywood film, “Rhythm.”
